The Lakes are a hospitality market before they are anything else, and the economics work best in batches. A portfolio day covers several properties in one run rather than paying for the drive five times over. Terrain and weather matter more here than anywhere else we work, so shoots are planned with a fallback window built in rather than being cancelled on the morning.
Do you batch holiday-let properties in one visit?
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to do it. A portfolio batch is £2,400 per five properties, which is well under the cost of five separate visits once travel is counted.
What happens if the weather turns?
Lake District shoots are booked with a fallback window. If a day is lost to weather before we travel there is no charge; a postponement once we are on site carries a £180 standby rate.
Is there a travel charge to Cumbria?
Yes, beyond an hour of base at £0.45 a mile plus accommodation at cost, quoted up front. Batched days spread that across several properties.
